KAYSERİ UNIVERSITY

QUALITY POLICY

    In compliance with Kayseri University's mission, vision and values; It adopts a quality policy based on cooperation with stakeholders and continuous improvement in order to train manpower with high professional and ethical knowledge, skills and competence, to develop institutional capacity and cultural infrastructure, and to contribute to the development of the region and the country with research and development activities and produced projects. The university's education-training, research-development, social contribution and management system policies are determined as follows;

Education Policy

  • To raise preferred graduates who can adapt to global changes and have high professional and ethical knowledge, skills and competence.
  • To continuously improve education-training processes with an approach based on stakeholder participation, student-centered learning-teaching and measurement and evaluation.
  • To ensure the adoption and sustainability of practices related to the objectives and outcomes of education and training programs and their compliance with national and international standards in the institution.

It is essential that these principles, adopted in education and training with the understanding of education anywhere, anytime and under all conditions, are realized and maintained in formal/distance/mixed education models.

Research and Development Policy

  • To continuously improve research and development outputs in quality and quantity.
  • To support interdisciplinary, innovation and entrepreneurship-oriented research that strengthens university-industry-public cooperation.
  • To ensure the dissemination, use and commercialization of the results obtained from research and development activities.

Social Contribution Policy

  • To conduct research and produce projects that will contribute to the economic and social development of the society and the region in cooperation with stakeholders.
  • To contribute to economic and social development by educating graduates with high professional and ethical knowledge, skills and competence with an application-oriented education and training approach.
  • To ensure the use of produced information for the benefit of society.

Management Policy

  • To be a higher education institution that focuses on continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • To make quality a corporate culture by developing a sense of belonging with a participatory management approach.
  • To adopt a fair, transparent and accountable management approach towards creating the awareness of 'being a Kayseri University student'.
  • To be a sustainable higher education institution that is sensitive to social, environmental and economic issues.

Human Resources Policy

  • Organizing events to create corporate culture and a sense of belonging and to strengthen internal communication.
  • To create a managerial environment for personnel employment based on medium and long-term human resources planning and "person-job fit".
  • To make appropriate training plans and develop models to support career planning by taking measures to ensure the continuous development of personnel. Creating promotion opportunities based on performance evaluation.
  • To create occupational health and safety and ergonomically suitable working environments where personnel can feel safe.

Internationalization Policy;

In today's economic, social and political environment, where global relations and competition are rapidly increasing and changing, the relations and contributions of countries in their geographies become extremely important. Acting with the mission of being application and project-oriented, integrating with the business world, contributing to regional development and creating social benefit by training qualified manpower, and with the vision of being a pioneer and exemplary university in this context, Kayseri University attracts many universities, especially from countries with cultural and geographical proximity to Turkey. It aims to create opportunities for international students to study and to contribute to our country's regional and global power. In this context, Kayseri University is aware of the need to carry out education-training, research-development and social contribution activities without ignoring the internationalization dimension; It aims to increase its institutional quality and capacity at the international level with the number of international publications and citations, the number of projects carried out with international collaborations, and the mobility of its faculty members and students. In this regard, by increasing the recognition of the university on a global scale, more demand from international students and faculty members will be ensured, and the qualifications of faculty members and students will be improved by increasing international mobility.

Since the establishment of Kayseri University; With Turkey's involvement in the restructuring of the European higher education area (Bologna Process), Turkey aims to raise graduates who are qualified to meet international expectations with the education and training programs created and constantly updated taking into account the Higher Education Qualifications Framework

In order to achieve these goals, the university adopts the following policies for internationalization in line with the Internationalization Strategy Document in Higher Education and KAYÜ 2020-2024 Strategic Plan:

  • To increase the recognition of the university on international platforms and to become a regional center of attraction, especially in vocational and technical higher education,
  • Increasing the number of bilateral agreements to expand international mobility,
  • To increase the number of international students and faculty members,
  • To increase the number of students and faculty members benefiting from international exchange programs,
  • To increase the number of international publications, citations and projects carried out with international collaborations,
  • To increase the capacity of academic staff to provide education in foreign languages ​​with various supports,
  • To increase the number of programs taught in foreign languages ​​and the proportion of courses taught in foreign languages ​​in the curriculum,
  • To carry out studies to create international joint education and training programs,
  • To work to increase the number of departments and programs with international memberships and accreditation,
  • To hold information and promotional meetings to encourage the international mobility of students, academic and administrative staff.
